Ben Caudell on the betting as the top two in men's tennis do battle

It's the final we all wanted - the top two male tennis players in the world battling it out for the greatest prize in tennis, to be crowned Wimbledon champion.

Roger Federer will be gunning for his sixth Wimbledon title, one short of Pete Sampras's seven. Rafael Nadal, who has reached the final three years in a row, will be hoping for his first after losing to Federer on two previous occasions. Last year's final matched over £30,000,000 on the match odds market - a record for Betfair - so if this year's final goes to five sets again we will be looking at a new milestone for the company and another spectacular game.

Roger Federer v Rafael Nadal: Weather permitting, this could be one of the greatest finals ever played on the green, green grass. It is very rare to see such a huge price on Federer to win a match, especially as, put simply, he 'owns' Wimbledon. Having won over 60 of his matches at the club his last loss was against Mario Ancic in 2002. Of course, the reason he is such a large price is because his opponent is the Spanish Bull Rafael Nadal, who was never expected to do well on grass but has proved everyone wrong. Nadal convincingly beat Federer at this year's French Open and definitely has the mental edge against him, having won 11 of their 17 meetings. I wouldn't want to choose between them but I do see this one going on for a long time.
