Ben Caudell rounds out the women's tournament with his preview of the Venus v Serena final
Yesterday's predictions were both correct with the Roger Federer v Marat Safin match going to a tie break in the second set and Safin winning the +6.5 handicap. So will Federer relinquish his title to the Spaniard on Sunday? Only Nadal stands in the way of an epic sixth title in a row.
Saturdays women's final will be a repeat of the 2002 and 2003 final where the Williams sisters battled it out for grass court supremacy, Serena winning both of them. There has been a Williams in all but one final since 2000 with Venus winning the championship four times and Serena two, which one will win the 2008 title? Only a coin toss will tell....
Serena Williams v Venus Williams: This match is very hard to predict and the statistics for both are extremely similar in all departments. I think the market has called it right here and Serena is a genuine favourite. She has beaten Venus twice before on the grass courts at Wimbledon and has looked a little sharper during this year's tournament. The final will be dictated by the serve, Venus with the faster and Serena with the most aces, this match will go all the way and may be decided on a single break.
Selections:
Back Serena Williams @ [1.9]
Back the Tie Break @ [2.24]
Back Three Sets @ [2.1]
