Andy Murray came from a set down to defeat Croatia's Ivo Karlovic and retain his SAP Open title in San Jose.
The British number one lost the opening set tie-break but then highlighted his battling credentials with an impressive fight-back to win 6-7 (3-7) 6-4 7-6 (7-2).
Karlovic fired 26 aces in the final but Murray just proved too good for his 6ft 10in opponent, winning his second consecutive title in San Jose.
The Scot has been working hard on his fitness and it showed in the closing stages, afterwards thanking trainer Mark Grabow for his help.
The 19-year-old revealed: "We have done a lot of work in seven months, and it hasn't always been fun, but I've been in two finals now this year so it's going well."
Murray added: "Brad (Gilbert - coach) told me to put a high percentage of first serves in and try to be patient on the second.
"You do have to strike the ball pretty well to win an ATP tournament and I think I did that this week."
Punters who have backed Murray in the 'To Win A Grand Slam in 2007' market will be buoyed by his form so far this season. The British ace is available at 7.2 having traded as high as 18.
