Andy Murray has admitted his admiration for Roger Federer's continued dominance of the mens game and praised the world number one's desire.
The Swiss ace is aiming to set another record at the Indian Wells Masters Series, as the Australian Open champion targets a 46-match winning streak.
Murray was one of only two players to defeat Federer in 2006 (Rafael Nadal being the other) in the Cincinnati Masters.
But the British number one remains impressed by the four-time Wimbledon champion and how he continues to play consistently at such a high level.
The 19-year-old said: "When you've won so many tournaments, to keep mentally focused for every tournament is great."
Murray, who has a first-round bye at Indian Wells, is also happy with how his own game is progressing in 2007.
The Scot added: "I played well in all the tournaments and I haven't played too many bad matches.
"I wasn't expecting to start as well but I did work hard in the off-season."
Unsurprisingly, Federer is the strong 1.41 favourite to claim the latest Masters Series event.
Nadal is trading at 20 with Andy Roddick available at 24. Murray can be backed at 40, while Tim Henman is on offer at 220.
