Tim Henman will finally get his 2007 season up and running on Tuesday despite admitting he is not match fit.
The British number two faces Nicolas Mahut in the first round of the Tennis Challenge Open in Las Vegas - his first match since October after a knee injury.
The 32-year-old had hoped to play in the Rotterdam Open last week but was forced to pull out because of a bout of flu.
"I've only just stepped on court for the first time as I suffered a relapse with the flu," Henman told his website.
"I spent the first 24 hours in bed when I arrived but I seem to be finally getting over it now.
"I've been given a Tuesday start so hopefully that will give me a bit of extra time to get ready to go."
Henman, seeded seventh in Nevada, is fancied at 1.69 to mark his comeback with a victory, while his French opponent can be supported at 2.36.
In a developing market, Henman is priced at 13.5 to win the title, while top seed James Blake is trading at 2.56 to defend the trophy he won last year on the outdoor hard court.
