Guillermo Canas is wary of the threat of Novak Djokovic in the Sony Ericsson Open final in Miami but believes his own game is getting better all the time.
The 29-year-old Argentine became the first ever qualifier to reach the final in Miami after defeating seventh seed Ivan Ljubicic 7-5 6-2 in their last-four clash.
Canas, who has beaten world number one Roger Federer in his last two tournaments, now faces Djokovic for the title after the 19-year-old Serb dismantled Andy Murray 6-1 6-0.
Canas is delighted to have made the final but is predicting a tough encounter against the tenth seed.
"I'm feeling great to be in the final," Canas said. "I will try to beat a sixth seed in a row. But the real thing is I know I saw the match this afternoon, and I think that (Djokovic) plays very well. He has a lot of confidence. He made final in Indian Wells and now he is in the final here.
"I think it's going to be a tough match for me. But really, I feel very confident in my game. I know if I play well, I have a chance to beat him."
Despite the task ahead, Canas is confident he can emulate Tim Mayotte in 1985 and become only the second unseeded player to win this event as he feels he is improving all the time.
Canas added: "Four days ago, I started as a first-round qualifier and I have a lot of confidence in my game.
"But I thought it would be too far to get into the final.
"But really, I am playing day by day and I am getting better and better."
Punters though appear to fancy the younger finalist as Djokovic is trading as the 1.68 favourite, while Canas can be supported at 2.42.
