Roger Federer has matched Jimmy Connors' record for the longest spell as world number one - 160 weeks.
The Swiss ace first reached the top of the rankings in February 2004 and has since won nine Grand Slam titles.
Federer is highly likely to now go on and beat Connors' mark, which was set between July 1974 and August 1977, with no end in sight for the 25-year-old's domination.
Speaking about the record, the Australian Open champion said: "I think it's one of the most important records that I'll beat, perhaps even the most significant. I'm in a hurry to do it."
Such is the world number one's brilliance, there is a Betfair 'Federer Grand Slam' market. Do you think the Swiss star will win all four Major titles in 2007 ? 'Yes' can be backed at 4.2, while 'No' is trading at 1.3.
