British number one Andy Murray is into the third round of the Miami Masters, after a 6-2 7-6 (7-4) win against Paul Goldstein.
The young Scot continued his good early-season form with a comfortable win against the American, although he did throw away a 5-4 lead in the second set and eventually went through on the tie-break.
Murray, who is Britain's only representative after Tim Henman lost his opener to Guillermo Canas and Alex Bogdanovic lost in qualifying, will now go through to face Robert Kendrick in round three.
However, he admitted that he is struggling during games due to a lack of practice after hurting his ankle in last week's quarter-final win over Tommy Haas at Indian Wells.
He said: "I was out of breath and pretty tired to be honest. I've only had about two-and-a-half hours practice over the last six days and the conditions here are completely different to Indian Wells.
"He fights hard in every match but I did well to hang on in the tie-break and it's quite difficult when you haven't hit that many balls in the last few days."
Murray is 1.1 to beat Kendrick and reach the fourth round, with his American opponent available to back at 2.7. The British ace is trading at 27 to win the Masters event.
