insists she will be fit to play for America in the Fed Cup this weekend, despite recent injury concerns.
The 25-year-old was forced to withdraw from the Family Circle Cup event last week due to a groin problem.
But Williams has resumed practise after a few days off, insisting her groin is feeling much better and she will be able to participate for her country in the tie against Belgium.
The home tie will be Serena's first Fed Cup match since 2003 and she will be joined in the squad by older sister Venus, who hasn't played in the event since 2005.
America are strongly fancied to make it through their first round encounter with opponents Belgium, who are without their two top players Justine Henin and Kim Clijsters.
Betfair punters see the US team as odds-on favourites while Belgium can be backed at 4.1. Meanwhile, Zina Garrison's side are among the favourites to win the Fed Cup in a newly formed market.
