Amelie Mauresmo feels she can have a big impact at the French Open, despite suffering defeat in the final of the Strasbourg Open at the weekend.
The French ace went down 6-4 4-6 6-4 to Spain's Anabel Medina Garrigues, in what was her third final of the year.
Mauresmo though, seeded fifth at the French Open, remains upbeat over her chances at Roland Garros - as she prepares for a first round clash with American Laura Granville.
The 27-year-old insisted: "I'm not disappointed, because my aim was to play as many matches as possible (ahead of the French Open).
"I put in some good performances this week and felt that with every match my game was getting better and better.
"That is the most important thing, as now I have more confidence in my game than before I arrived in Strasbourg. I'm in good form and ready for Roland Garros."
Mauresmo, who's best performance at the French Open is reaching the quarter-finals in 2003 and 2004, is trading at 15 to win the tournament in front of her home crowd.
The two-time Grand Slam winner is on offer at 1.05 to make the second round this week, with Granville available at 9.8.
