Kim Clijsters has revealed that she may miss this year's US Open as it comes too soon after her impending honeymoon.
The Belgian ace is set to retire from the sport at the end of the season, with many expecting the Flushing Meadows event to be her final Grand Slam tournament.
But the 23-year-old, who won the US Open title in 2005, has hinted that she may not be in New York as it comes off the back of her wedding to basketball player Brian Lynch.
Speaking on her website, Clijsters revealed: "It is difficult to know whether I will be able to make it to the US Open.
"Tennis is nearly over. A couple more tournaments, saying goodbye mostly, and then enjoying having fun with the other players."
The latest comments from the Australian Open semi-finalist will concern those punters who have backed the Belgian in Betfair's 2007 specials.
Clijsters has already indicated that she won't play in the French Open, leaving Wimbledon as her only firm target and she is currently trading at 1.7 to win a Grand Slam.
