British number one Anne Keothavong needs just one more victory to reach the main draw of the Pacific Life Open.
The 23-year-old Londoner will face Meng Yuan of China, who is ranked just one place above Keothavong at 160, for a place in the 128-player main draw in California, won by top seed and world number one, Maria Sharapova, last year.
Keothavong beat France's world number 115, Youlia Fedossova, 6-3 2-6 6-3 on Monday to edge nearer to the main event.
Anne Keothavong can be backed at 3.95 and 4.5 to win her showdown against Yuan in straight sets and two sets to one respectively on Betfair's emerging Set Betting market.
In the Match Odds market, Keothavong is trading at 2.54 behind favourite Yuan at 1.63.
Sharapova, who beat Elena Dementieva in the final last year, heads the Winner market at 3.05 while Svetlana Kuznetsova has also come in for support at 5.09.
