US Open Mens Singles
Round 2 Preview
H.T. Lee (Korea) vs G. Canas (Argentina)
Hyung Taik Lee is not a household name but he generally sneaks past the first couple of rounds in grandslams just when no one is looking. The Korean is a tough competitor even though his ranking does not inspire much confidence.
Lee faces Canas in one of today´s first second round matches. I have made it a matter of principle not to back clay court players on hard court. Canas, as it is well known is a specialist on clay. His hard court season has been non existent apart from some runs early on in the year. During the road trip of the US Open Series, he lost in the Round of 64 in the last 2 tournaments he featured in.
The pair have never met before. Notwithstanding, Lee looked very comfortable playing on hard courts this season as he reached the quarter finals of 3 of 4 tournaments preceding the US Open. The Korean has the credentials to win this one and will most certainly push Canas all the way.
Suggested Bet: Lay G. Canas to win 3-0 sets @ 3.45 and Lay G. Canas to win the match @ 1.35
