Top seed Tathiana Garbin has withdrawn from the Gaz de France Budapest Grand Prix, leaving the tournament wide open.
The Italian pulled out of her second-round encounter against Olga Savchuk of the Ukraine, after suffering a hamstring strain in her first-round clash with Spain's Nuria Llagostera Vives.
Garbin, who won the event back in 2000, was not the only seed to fall early in the clay court event.
Third-seed Maria Kirilenko and seventh-seed Elena Likhovtseva have both been among the casualties in the early rounds.
Romania's Sorana Cirstea and home player Agnes Szavay are now expected to be among the favourites for the title in an emerging Betfair market.
French ace Emilie Loit is also likely to be popular among traders, while 2004 runner-up Martina Sucha may prove to be a good outside bet.
