France's Tatiana Golovin caused an upset in the final of the Bausch & Lomb Championships, beating defending champion Nadia Petrov to claim her first title.
The teenager comfortably beat top seed Petrova 6-2 6-1, in just an hour-and-a-quarter, to take the trophy in Florida.
Golovin, who is ranked 20th in the world, was buoyed by her victory and is hopeful of progressing further over the coming weeks and months.
The 19-year-old said: "This is probably the happiest day of my life in my tennis career.
"I felt I was ready to win my first title. I knew I could beat Petrova. I knew I had the weapons to do it.
"I feel like I've gone on to the next level in winning my first tournament."
Golovin returns to action this week in the Family Circle Cup, with the teenager trading at 6.2 to claim a second consecutive title. The winner market is currently headed by Serena Williams, who can be backed at 2.26.
