Samantha Stosur has teamed up with a new coach as the Australian number one looks to work her way up the world rankings.
The 22-year-old will work with Adam Peterson, Lindsay Davenport's former coach, for a two-tournament trial stint in America - starting with this week's Indian Wells event in California.
Peterson becomes Stosur's fifth coach since the start of 2006 and there appears to be a good chance that he will work with the world number 27 for the rest of the year.
Her manager Phil Harte revealed that Nicole Bradtke, who worked with Stosur during the Australia summer, could work with her again in the future but explained the switch.
Harte said: "Sam is very grateful of the support Nicole gave, but when Sam and I spoke about everything from coaching and her finances, we were clear she needed to have a focus in the US because she's there a lot longer than she is in Australia.
"Sam will see if there is the required chemistry with Adam after the two tournaments."
Stosur is seen as one of the outsiders to win the Indian Wells event, with the Aussie ace available at 110.
Maria Sharapova is the 2.98 favourite for the tournament, with her Russian compatriot Svetlana Kuznetsova trading at 7.6.
