Andy Murray won his first tournament since returning from injury as he defeated Mikhail Youzhny in the final of the Valencia Open.
Murray was matched at [1.56] to win today's match against the Russian. He justified that price with a stylish performance, winning in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.
Youzhny failed to recover from losing his serve early in the first set and Murray took his 14th career title in one the most comfortable final's he will ever play in.
The Scot faced tougher tests against Fernando Verdasco in the semi-final and in the second round when he was taken to three sets by Leonardo Mayer.
However, Murray, who traded no higher than [4.4] for his Valencia title, will be very pleased with how his first week back from injury has gone. He now moves on to this week's Masters Series event in Paris where will play James Blake on Tuesday.
After Paris, his attention will turn to the ATP World Tour Finals, which begin in London on November 22.
