Perfecseun tells us why Radwanska can cause Kirilenko real problems today
Round 1 Moscow Cup Women
M. Kirilenko (Russia) vs A. Radwanska ( Poland)
2007 has been a breakthrough year for both players and it seems they are beginning to fulfill the potential everyone saw in them. With only 6 places between them on the ranking table, this should be a close first encounter between two players in good form.
Kirilenko has always flattered to deceive but has found the key to playing at the top level in the second part of the year. It is too early to know if she will maintain that level of intensive play as she lost to Camille Pin in her last outing, a player ranked 75. There is still an unknown factor about the Russian and consistency is not yet part of her game.
The success Radwanska had at the US Open has brought her to everyone's attention. Her defence of the Luxembourg title she won last year came to a rapid close when she lost in the first round; Stuttgart was not any better as she lost in the second round to Kuznetsova. Those losses do not really tell the story of how she played as there was remarkable improvement and maturity to her tennis game.
This match will be a very close one because both are evenly matched on ability, but the difference will be the mental toughness and ability to dig deep if the need arises. Radwanska is the choice to find another level when the chips are down as Kirilenko still has a lot of work to be done when it comes to raising her game against the best in the game.
Suggested Bet: Lay M. Kirilenko to win 2-0 sets @ 3.4, Lay M. Kirilenko to win the match @ 1.91
