Last week's winner of the Pacific Life Open Masters goes out in Miami, Federer the favorite to win
Novak Djokovic learnt the valuable lesson that a week is a long time in tennis after being matched at [1.02] on Betfair before losing to South African qualifier Kevin Anderson in the second round of the Sony Ericsson Open.
Djokovic won the Pacific Life Open last week but went down 7-6 3-6 6-4 to Anderson; he was matched at [1.02] after winning the second set, at which point Kevin Anderson touched 30.
Djokovic's opponent in the Pacific Life Open final, Mardy Fish, had no better luck, being matched at [1.22] on Betfair before losing to Arnaud Clement.
Betfair customers clearly think Roger Federer's defeat to Fish last week at the semi-final stage was just a red herring in respect to his chances in Miami. Federer is the [2.14] favourite to get back to winning ways and win the event, Nadal trades at [7.4].
