Xoomworks is an experienced consultancy and outsourcing service provider specialising in Finance, Procurement and Gaming solutions. We are focused on consulting, systems integration, outsourced software development, testing, and managed application services.
Xoomworks has successfully delivered solutions to a range of major global companies including BA, Sony, Dell, Lloyds TSB, Commerzbank, Cybersports and Betfair over the past 9 years.
Headquartered in central London, and with an established EU near-shore software development centre in Romania, Xoomworks provides world-class, flexible services to clients across Europe.
Xoomworks relationship with Betfair started in January 2004 when Betfair Engineering needed a team of developers that could work in-house as a cohesive group, or merge into existing teams on bespoke technical developments as required, to alleviate peak demand pressures.
Xoomworks' provided several teams of industry experienced technologists to cover a broad range of technologies including J2EE, JSP,ASP,.NET and Oracle. The approach allowed Betfair Engineering to concentrate on the technical challenges facing them whilst Xoomworks managed the provision of the right resource to the projects at the right time. In such a high-pressure environment it was also vital to select the individuals that best suit individual team requirements in terms of cultural fit - the approach allowed teams to be adjusted as required to encourage the best performance possible.
In February 2007, Betfair Engineering selected Xoomworks as a Nearshore development partner. Our Romania operations had the remit to replicate the software engineering structure Betfair had in place in the UK, Tasmania and Malta. This included software development and local operations support.
