John and Edward's odds have halved as their popularity shows no signs of abating
The odds on Irish twins John and Edward winning The X Factor have been cut to [13.0] by Betfair customers, who are starting to believe that the most unlikely of reality show triumphs in on the cards.
Before Saturday's show the duo's price to win was at [26.0], yet after another vote of confidence from an apparently adoring public, their price has dramatically fallen.
Betfair Spokesman Ari Last said: "The John and Edward locomotive appears to be gathering pace and when the Betfair punters get behind you, you know you're doing something right.
"Our customers showed their predictive abilities again this weekend when our favourite to be eliminated, Rachel Adedeji, was ultimately given the boot, so the slashing of John and Edward's odds to win is significant indeed."
