According to Alan Dudman, John Sargeant is dancing on thin ice, yet interestingly he identifies fans' favourite Rachel Stevens and Jodie Kidd as two acts who could be in danger of elimination, should they not drastically raise their game.
"Move right outta here baby. Go on pack your bags." Not my words but the words of Heather Small in M People, or as I described them the other day...The M People.Yes, I admit it, I am out of touch with what the kids listen to.
Those two lines could not be more apt, and I have to say good riddance to her, she was quite frankly boring the Diesel pants off me. The crumb of comfort for Small however would be that she is now free to make some more of those crap records with Shovel.
Moving on to this week, and it's fair to say the whole situation with John Sergeant is becoming farcical. His hip shaking Cha Cha Cha last week was more 'hip replacement', and 12 points gleaned were 11 too many.
Having tipped John to go in my previous column, it may be more prudent to become a layer of him at the shorter prices in all the elimination markets (yes crazy I know), as the public bizarrely are phoning in their droves to keep him in.
Out of interest Sarge is now trading at [34.00] to win the thing outright, which proves how ludicrous the situation has become.
And how on earth was poor little Rachel in the dance-off? Strictly is becoming as bad as The X Factor with these shock results. We have John, they have Daniel.
Two things I am hoping for this week, please can Christine wear that little
yellow dress again? And please can Christine wear that little yellow dress again?
Lisa Snowdon gained joint top spot last week (and yes I tipped her at sevens), and I think she is now a realistic contender to win outright, a view shared by the layers who now offer no bigger than [8.00]. The price seems to have gone.
Week 9: Let battle commence:
Austin Healey and Erin:
The long-time favourite got a massive shock last week, his 29 points for the Rumba was his lowest ever, which proves what I have been saying all along - he is vulnerable. Healey has been eased in the outright market to [2.64].
He really needs to get over that disappointment and bounce back with this week's Tango. He should be suited by this as he has proved to be very light and nimble on his feet.
Austin is really fired up for Saturday, whilst Erin wants him to be arrogant, aggressive and passionate. The former fly-half has promised his dance is going to be like his Rugby. Hmmm, overrated, littered with mistakes and no end product then.
Lisa Snowdon (ex of George Clooney) and Brendan:
Achieved her highest ever score last week with 36, and has the best teacher around in Mr Cole. Results are proving that.
Snowdonia is fast becoming the best thing to hail from Welwyn Garden City since....errrrrrr (email any suggestions please).
To use footballers speak, she has been buzzing in training this week in preparation for her Tango. The former model is great at the slow stuff, and just as good with the fiery numbers. This could be another good one.
The final beckons.
Jodie Kidd and Ian:
Ms Daddy Long Legs is good with anything elegant and slow. Once she has anything quick she struggles, her 23 points from the Samba last Saturday confirmed this, and Craig didn't like it either giving her 3!!
Horsey Horsey has the Quickstep this weekend, and it does exactly what it says on the tin, meaning Kidd could struggle.
Although their preparation has been good throughout this week, her partner joked 'it will be a miracle if we stay in,' and I think Ian is dead right.
Nailed on for bottom two act.
Tom Chambers and Camilla:
Another solid effort from the Holby man on Saturday's show, and he has now been cut to [3.55] in the outright market after his 36 point tap show.
Despite Tom's stiff neck in training over the past few days, the Salsa preparations have been going well. He has said he is 'smoking' this week, and who am I to disagree?
Christine Bleakley and Matt:
Ahh, how I wish I could swap positions with Matt just for one day.
In fact an hour would do.....
Excellent last week, her jumping jive got her 31 points, which again was another personal best, although she still has yet to win over Arlene.
Her ballet lessons are paying off but she could be in a bit of trouble this week with the Waltz. Judges have described her as a bit 'Upstairs Downstairs'. Which I took as compliment as I loved that programme as a kid.
Cherie Lunghi and James:
Usual elegant self with a 36 point Ballroom last Saturday, although she drifted slightly in the winners market out to [8.80].
She is a better version of Jodie, great with the classical dances, poor on anything quick (it could be the age perhaps).
Lunghi tackles the Cha Cha Cha, and therefore time for the English Rose to become a fiery one. She has promised to dance like 'she's had three beers at a family do' for the next show. That's nothing, I danced with 15 Bacardi Breezers once!
Could miss a few quicker steps, in trouble.
Rachel Stevens and Vincent:
I was informed by my mother recently that Rachel's mother used to cut her hair. So there, we have something in common.
Travesty she was in the dance-off, and sad to see her eyes well up with tears. She should write a song about it...
S Club gonna show you how! And we all know what S stands for!
I wouldn't be backing her this Saturday as she has the Rumba - traditionally a dance that needs to be raunchy, and sorry Rachel, you just cannot do raunchy. Although Vincent can.
John Sergeant and Kristina:
Please go. Don't even know what dance he has this week, it seems not to matter the way the public vote these days.
Recommendations:
Back Christine in 'Bottom Two Acts' @ [4.2]
Back Jodie in 'Bottom Two Acts' @ [1.60]
Back Jodie for Elimination @ [3.65]
Back Lisa for top score @ [5.70]
And by the way, wasn't Beyonce looking hot last weekend?

We have always enjoyed'Strictly come Dancing' that is until this farcical series.Come on John Sergent do the decent thing and retire thus allowing 'dancers' to have a fair crack of the whip....it must be an awful situation for Kristina to be in with other proffesionals knowing full well that any one of them could be eliminated by this amatuerish performance. It must be stressed this is a DANCING CONTEST not a comedy act in which I feel sure J.S. would come out on top!!!Please GO with sincerity Joy and Robert.

Having in the past enjoyed Strictly Come Dancing We are finding this series a complete farce...Come on John Sergent do the decent thing and retire...you are there because people (not I repeat NOT dance lovers) feel a certain sympathy for you Good dancers are being eliminated each week while you bumble along with a very smug look on your face...how embarrasing for your proffesional partner Kristina...she has to face her fellow proffesionals knowing full well the bottom two most definatley should have contained you..It has gone on long enough you've proved your point...you are popular but NO DANCER and that is what this program is supposed to be about..Please leave then we can all respect you for playing the game Joy & Robert
