After an all time great performance Dixon looks nailed on, according to Chicken Dinner
Such is the furore developing around the marvellous Alesha Dixon [1.58] to win on Betfair that it can't be long before Bruno starts yelping scores that don't even exist ("fourteen!"). As things stand, she is the best SCD contestant of ALL TIME. Her 39 at the weekend was the best pre-final score ever, and with an average of 35 from seven dances, she trounces all the previous winners. In fact, the closest to her at this stage was Zoe Ball, third in series three, who mustered a 34 point average after seven. Dixon, however, is more likeable.
Kelly Brook [11.5] is fast becoming an irrelevance. She was initially the sexed-up star of the show, yet Dixon is saucier and better at dancing, so Brook is left somewhere in the middle of the road. She is neither good enough to win, nor 'homely' enough to appeal to the sympathy voters (unlike Letitia Dean). The judges also appear to loathe her dance partner Brendan, and anyone who saw him sniffing around girls on Celebrity Love Island will see exactly where they're coming from.
Matt Di Angelo [5.3] and Gethin Jones [12.5] both suffer from being a bit sexless. Colin Jackson had a similar problem. Previous male winners, Gough and Ramprakash, at least created the illusion that left alone in a room with a woman, they would only need a few seconds before making wild and ecstatic love. These boys lack that animal quality demanded by the voters. Housewives need to feel hot under the collar.
Brook and Di Angelo can also be disregarded having both featured in the dreaded dance off. That leaves a big smelly smudge on their progress.
Letitia Dean [36.0] could yet make the final - it's impossible for her to win, but her plucky nature and place in the nation's soap hearts could mean that doddery late arrivals to the show will vote for the only face they recognise.
Burly Scott Kenny Logan [95.0] shouldn't be there.
