In a turn of events that shocked the Betfair markets, Robert Kilroy-Silk was last night voted out of the jungle. And before the dust has even settled on the show's first departure, Feizal Rahman takes a look at who will be next to feel the force of the Public's disdain.

Having gone from villain to hero to somewhere in between over the course of ten days, last night Robert Kilroy-Silk suffered the unenviable fate of being the first celebrity to be evicted from the jungle. Apparently safe according to the market, 'Silksy' found himself in the familiar position of being unable to muster enough votes in a public ballot. Frustratingly, the camp has lost one of its strongest characters and it's a perpetual mystery as to why those who bring entertainment to such shows are discarded ahead of the non-entities such as Simon Webbe ([40.0] to win) who offer us nothing.

Doing herself no favours is dim-witted WAG, Carly, who thought it would be a good idea to moan about how much of a burden it is to be the partner of a multi-millionaire Premiership footballer. Already flagging in the popularity stakes, Carly is straight in as favourite to be the 2nd eliminated at [2.6] and is friendless in the winner market at [210.0].

Meanwhile, Esther is proving to be a real goer, taking everything from camp disputes to bush battles in her stride and with good humour. Into [6.2] to win, she's steadily mounting a challenge to long-term favourite Joe, who remains odds on at [1.85]. Conceding second-place in the market to Esther is George, who is static at around [8.4]. Proving a disappointment since his initial impact, the sci-fi supremo will need to step up his game and somehow find a way to get involved, as he has thus far avoided the dreaded trials.

In winning nine stars in his latest bushtucker trial though, David Van Day treated us all to a Paul Burrell moment with an over-the-top reaction to the task that was shamelessly enacted for the cameras. Evidently proving to be the star of the show, DVD is steadily garnering support and is into [28.0] to win and is behind three others in the 2nd elimination market at [13.0].

Sidekick Timmy Mallett continues to act like fingernails to a chalkboard with his over-zealous larking. Despite being politely asked by Joe of all people to keep the noise down, Timmy vowed to continue with his ear-bursting decibel levels. How long until a hungry camper loses it and decides to have him for dinner? At [21.0] in both the winner and elimination market, we're likely to have plenty of time to find out.
