Michelle cries, Terry luxuriates, Vern pervs, Coolio steals chicken and Ulrika snaps - Dan Fitch reports on another day in the Big Brother house...

There was a double bill of Celebrity Big Brother last night, which was good news for the fans, but bad news for a certain sleep deprived writer who needed to be up at the crack of dawn to file his copy.

Personal gripes aside, the show was an enjoyable one and kicked off with Coolio doing what he does best. Annoying everyone.

Having got out of bed, Coolio immediately marinated some chicken that Terry had earmarked for a stir-fry. The housemates were annoyed at Coolio for taking over all of the cooking and making too many big meals. Tina complained that she didn't want chicken for lunch and then beef for dinner, although she looks to me as if she could handle both and still have room for lamb at elevenses.

Coolio also made Michelle cry, after inferring that she and Ben were having an affair. Michelle was very upset. Probably because nothing is actually going on between the pair, though possibly because they had plans to break the story in Hello.

The rapper's price has risen to [12.5], as it is a cert that he will be nominated when the housemates get their chance. Vern shortened as favourite to [2.66], as he excelled in a task in which the celebrities had to impersonate one another.

Vern had to act like Coolio for an hour, which basically gave him complete immunity to perv upon the girls. The task allowed the housemates to release their inner bitch. Ulrika for example, made fun of Ben going to public school, despite the fact that she's no stranger to having a plum in her mouth herself.

Having passed the task, Head of House Terry Christian was treated to a luxury Thai meal for one. Obviously feeling less self-conscious about another race row kicking off, Big Brother decided that whilst Terry was eating the meal, he should be dressed up as a comedy Chinaman.

Terry also had to decide who would be the third person to be nominated. Big Brother played him three clips of Michelle [28], Mutya [28] and Ben [7.4] all talking about him and on the basis of this, had to decide which one had the least integrity.

All three were really nice about Terry, who as the former presenter of The Word, was not used to such glowing reviews and got quite emotional. Eventually he plumped for Ben, on the basis that the public would keep him in. Nice guy Terry is coming across very well and is now the [4.9] second favourite.

As it turned out, Ben won't even have to face nomination. In a live finale, the housemates were given the chance to save one of the three nominees. Lucy and Ulrika received one vote each, while Ben got all the rest and was spared.

Ulrika is making out that she wants to leave, yet during last night's live show she was clearly on edge and was snapping at everyone. The Swede is now [50.0] to win, with Lucy at [120]. Ulrika's best chance of staying in is if the public decide that in these cash strapped times, she should do some work for her £175,000.
