Yesterday we thought there might be love in the house but today the affection is emanating from our correspondent to one celeb in particular. Dan Fitch reports on the latest from Coolio and the gang...
You know that you're going to be in for a good show, when it opens with Coolio claiming that these days, Madonna without any makeup looks like a packet of crisps.
Last night's show also brought us the first nominations of the series. Obviously I don't have the space to detail the full proceedings, but here are the highlights...
Despite everyone spending the first week and a half moaning about how annoying Coolio can be, he only received one nomination, from Michelle. Coolio is easily the most entertaining of the housemates and his price has now slipped down to [17.0].
Even though Terry was disciplined by Big Brother, for stating that he wouldn't be nominating Ulrika, when given the chance, he immediately nominated Ulrika. Terry is now the second favourite at [6.0], with Ulrika at [46.0].
Yet, despite having spent the last few days being upset by him, Ulrika didn't vote for Terry. Instead she voted for Ben, because he is too quiet and La Toya because: "When I approach her she looks terrified". I imagine that the sight of Ulrika approaching provokes a similar response from Premier League footballers.
Sour-faced Mutya [75.0] will have done her popularity outside the house no favours, when she voted for Verne [1.81]. Even worse, by way of explanation, Mutya said that she's not comfortable around people with disabilities. She must share a PR man with Prince Harry.
Ulrika voted for Ben because he sings like a girl. The shrill-voiced Ben has drifted out to [11.5] in the betting.
Coolio gave the best ever reason for a nomination, when he named Michelle for having a 'decent body', which was proving to be a distraction for him.
Everyone who voted for Tina, did so because she was too loud.
The final count saw Ulrika receive five votes and Michelle, Mutya and Tina all receive three. Tina is the favourite to be evicted at [1.3], with Michelle at [4.1], Ulrika at [13.5] and Mutya at [15.5].
Although the voting public will no doubt relish the chance of sending Tina back to her career of portraying loud-mouthed Scousers (such range), I wouldn't be surprised if Michelle is evicted.
A group of housemates lead by Terry entered the diary room to ask Big Brother for some booze. As Terry pleaded for alcohol, Michelle and Coolio began bickering. Coolio then turned to Ben and asked him to deal with his woman. You've got to hand it to Coolio. He knows which buttons to press.
Michelle was in hysterics. Female housemates tried to talk her out of leaving and gave lots of silly reasons as to why she should stay, rather than being honest and telling her that she needs the money.
Ulrika was babbling about how strong Michelle's relationship is in the outside world and that she shouldn't get upset by Coolio's comments, as there's nothing actually going on between her and Ben. These words of wisdom came the night after Ulrika and Tina had been gossiping about Michelle secretly being in love with the former A1 pretty-boy.
Ben plucked up all of his courage and told Coolio that he should apologise to Michelle. The only problem is that Ben delivered this admonishment with about as much conviction as Oliver Twist asking for more.
Unsurprisingly Coolio remained unrepentant, instead choosing to just run around screaming: "This is my house!" Eventually he calmed down and we were treated to a moment of candour from the great man:
"The only reason I keep saying it... Is because it's true."
Coolio, you are seriously in danger of overtaking Victor, as my favourite ever member of the Big Brother house. There is no higher honour.
