In an unprecedented Big Brother development, there are currently more women than men in the house with just a fortnight of suffering to go. It may have something to do with there being four extra females tossed into the mix "in-running" compared to just one guy. In fact, it may have everything to do with it.

The house, throughout history, has never been able to abide an excess of women within its walls, and with Rex immune this week, of the 18 nominations made, only two were used on men (Nicole and Sara nominated Mohamed.) This will therefore be the first all-women public vote of the series, with Sara ([19.0] to go), Nicole ([1.14]) and Lisa ([7.8]) receiving the most votes.

Speculation earlier in the week suggested that Nicole might avoid the public vote because Darnell wasn't expected to nominate her. If he'd chosen another victim it would have left Sara (five votes) and Lisa (four votes) in a head-to-head, while Nicole would have survived with three.

Now that Nicole faces eviction, she is almost certain to go. The only possibility of a different outcome is if she goes through with her threat to walk, a threat that she has been making pretty much since stepping over the threshold in search of a better life. If she did flounce it would be interesting to see if Rex had the courage to make good on his vow to leave with her or backtrack in the hope he might still win the money. The chances are he'd go money.

If Rex were consistent, he'd also be making a strong case for Nicole - his girlfriend, remember - to be shown the door without pause. When moody Rex first turned on Rachel it was because he thought she was presenting a false image on her video tape.

The popular Dale was also kicked to the curb once the inappropriate comments he made on his tape received an airing.

So what to make of these comments on Nicole's tape? "I'm confident, I'm bubbly, I'm fun and I love partying. It's quite boring in there at the moment and I want to liven it up and spice things up."

Since pledging to be the life and soul 19 days ago, Nicole has contributed an endless cycle of domestics with Rex, empty threats - thus far at least - to vacate the premises and nauseating episodes of relationship repair with her sullen partner. Rex - never one to wait to be invited to pass judgement - ought to point out that perhaps it wasn't her best idea to come in to the house in the first place, given as she's such a moaning Minnie, and the best thing for her would be to "do one".

If Nicole did walk and the eviction still went ahead then things would get very interesting. The public would be more likely to evict Sara, as newer housemates are rarely favoured over an original. Lisa has done very little to upset the public recently, while Sara has got on the wrong side of the popular Darnell. But right now Lisa is [7.8] to go while Sara is [19.0] - a mystery, and great value if Nicole does exit prematurely and the vote goes ahead.

In the winner market, things still look good for Mikey (3.45 to win) - who became the first Head of House not to face eviction the following week - Darnell ([4.2]) and Kathreya ([7.6]), who all received no nominations and barring any slip-ups should avoid the public vote next week.
