One of these two is set to leave the Big Brother house - and it's going to be mighty close
"The one difference from this series on FIVE, has been the unpredictability of the evictions. A reduced audience has voted surprisingly on almost every occasion they have been asked."
One girl has to go as the Big Brother fans and house prepare for the final eviction of the series - and it's too tight to call, says Eliot Pollak
As if the nation's drooling perverts don't have enough on their minds with Miss World taking place down in London this weekend, they also have to choose whom they would rather watch 'get it on' in the Big Brother house next week; Louise or Faye.
BB2011 - it is as if we hardly knew you. This Friday will see the final eviction of the season, before the winner is crowned seven days hence. And it is all set up to be a real 'battle of the beauties' as Louise ([1.6]) and Faye ([2.68]) battle to stay until the very bitter end.
Yet the truth is that this vote is not about which of the two ladies is the loveliest, but rather as to which relationship the BB hordes wish to scupper. Jay and Louise certainly look closer to going all the way, but the big feel-good romance this year has undoubtedly been between Aaron and Faye. Ultimately, it is a choice between the corporal and the emotional - women tend to sway towards the latter, so it could well be 'goodbye Louise'.
This series has however been anything but predictable to date, so the brave gambler might be tempted to throw down a bundle on Faye getting her marching orders. It will unquestionably be tight - the one difference from this series on FIVE, has been the unpredictability of the evictions. A reduced audience has voted surprisingly on almost every occasion they have been asked.
The winner's market remains convinced by Alex, and it is not surprising. Of all of the remaining inmates, she fits the profile. Innocent, brainless, and coming across as a typical girl-next-door have in recent years proven a triumphant combination. She is the new Josie, who was the new Sophie etc.
With Alex such a solid favourite at [1.66] to win the thing, punters are feeding on thin gruel indeed. The top male market is interesting though, as Aaron ([1.51]) will hope to see off Jay ([2.76]) to take second place. This column has written before about the all-important Geordie vote, and as local pride grips the North East once more on the football field, their famous fan-base could in turn grip the phone-lines. Indeed, perhaps the Toon Army could be the one hope of an upset in the winners market, with Jay at [6.6] riding the dark horse.
Next week we'll tell you why laying Alex is the only option ahead of the big final.
