Big Brother 9 Betting: How will Luke survive without his sweetheart? By winning?

Rex might avoid eviction this week but he should still be very afraid, says Mike Norman.
I was away last week, so didn't get to comment on heaven and hell, Darnell's poor attempt at being a Head of House, and Rex being a smug, arrogant and deeply annoying owner of two restaurants.
A week is a long time in the Big Brother house, and things can change quickly, so here I will comment on heaven and hell, Dale's poor attempt at being a Head of House, and Rex being a smug, arrogant and deeply annoying owner of eleven restaurants - and I'll also look back at this week's shopping task.
But first Rex, who for some bizarre reason has been the mover and shaker of the week in the outright winner market (currently available at [9.8]). His smug attitude at being in heaven was rightly punished with enough nominations to ensure he faced the public vote in the week that Belinda was evicted. He has been lucky enough to come up against two even more annoying people (Jennifer and Beilnda) when he has faced a public vote, but this only served to give him a feeling of invincibility - how wrong he is.
The only guy in the world to have a chain of restaurants that grows every time he tells his story, Rex will be safe from eviction this week, but there is more chance of him being involved in the first ever Big Brother battering, with Lisa assaulting him with a frying pan, than there is of him winning.
Darnell ([7.0] to win) has gone into meltdown recently, due to his disastrous time as the Head of House, and there are no signs of him recovering. He completely messed up the French theme task and enraged Luke ([4.8]) and Michael ([14.5]) by omitting essentials from the shopping list. He paid the price by being up for eviction last night but survived quite comfortably. I'm confident he will be up for eviction again this week ([7.4] in '7th Evictee' Market) as he is more likely to become the first ever Big Brother serial murderer than a calming influence in the house.
Luke could well be the first ever Big Brother housemate to be put on suicide watch now that his 'sweetheart' Rebecca is now departed, and it will be interesting to see how he copes. He is the housemate who by far provides the most comedy moments and I predict that by the end of the week he will have replaced Kathreya ([3.8]) as the favourite to win the show - in fact Kat could well become the victim of the first ever Big Brother strangulation if she sings 'Happy Happy Happy House' one more time - she will not win.
To win the luxury shopping budget, housemates had to successfully complete three of five tasks all relating to time, with Head of House Dale ([12.0]) selecting which housemate did what. Mohamed ([140.0]) and Darnell were the guys most responsible for passing the task as they continuously found and switched off alarm clocks in the task room - however this shouldn't prevent them from being up for eviction again soon (Mo is [2.64]) to be the next evicted).
I'm surprised that Dales is as low as [4.2] in the '7th Evictee' market as his time as Head of House hasn't been anywhere near as bad as Darnell's. He remains the only housemate from the original entrants yet to pick up a single nomination, and despite trying his hardest to annoy people this week he won't pick up enough nominations to face the public vote.
The house is certainly a more entertaining one because of the male contingent than it is the female contingent. Newest arrivals Maysoon ([55.0] to win) and Sara [85.0] have added absolutely nothing, Rachel [20.0] is more boring than a new born baby, Lisa ([48.0] just cooks and looks like a man, and Kathreya continues to bore the pants off me - I scratch my head every day wondering why she has been favourite for so long, and I'm still convinced that there is more chance of a first ever Big Brother miracle, with Mikey announcing he can now see, than there is of the annoying Kat becoming the country's newest D-Lister.
