Big Brother 10 Betting: Sree No Match For Ready Freddie

BigBrother08 RSS / Dan Fitch / 02 July 2009 / Leave a comment

Another week and Freddie's up for eviction again, but Dan 'The Betting Man' Fitch thinks that the toff will survive against Hatfield Poly's finest, Sree.

So Sree has failed to pull off another great escape and faces eviction this week against Freddie. The somewhat over-confident Sree has been quoted as saying that he's "200% sure that he will be staying".

The Betfair punters disagree and make Sree the favourite at [1.02] to become the latest evictee. Or to put it another way, they are about 200% sure that Sree will be leaving.

Quite how Sree will react to the news of his unpopularity when Davina breaks it to him on Friday, will make for some interesting TV. He's certainly not a man that accepts defeat gracefully.

This was demonstrated on the Tuesday night highlights show, when he was involved in a running race against Siavash, with a can of beer at stake. Siavash won the race by the sort of margin normally only seen when Michael Johnson faced up against Roger Black.

Yet Sree failed to admit that he'd lost and eventually got the whole house to witness a re-run. Embarrassingly, Sree was again soundly beaten by the tubby, bearded Iranian and with the stakes of the bet having been multiplied, ended up owing Siavash four cans.

Rather than finally accepting defeat, Sree childishly refused to pay up and insulted Siavash. Something tells me that the Big Brother security guards are going to have to go into the house on Friday to drag Sree out, whilst he demands a recount.

The size of Sree's defeat is your best bet if you fancy a flutter on this week's eviction. In the Vote Percentage market, 70.01 to 80% is [4.1], with 80.1 to 90% at [1.8] and 90.01 to 100 at [2.5].

This will be Freddie's fourth successive week up for eviction and he seems to be benefiting from the John Seargant effect - whereby the general public feel sorry for him and will keep him in every week.

Freddie is now just [3.05] to win the show. I think that this is a little short at this stage, though there is the possibility of Freddie's price falling quicker than the Big Brother ratings if he enjoys a defining moment against his nemesis Kris.

Slimy Kris at [44.0] is quite openly belittling Freddie at every opportunity, in what can only be described as the behaviour of a bully. Freddie is beginning to stand up to him, but if he really loses his rag and puts the smug git in his place (preferably by smacking him one) then there can only be one winner.

Another attractive scenario is the likelihood of Freddie going up one-on-one against Kris in an eviction. The look of shock on Kris' stupid potato face, upon the realisation that the general public would prefer to keep in Freddie, rather than listening to more of his 'mint banter' with Charlie, would be a joy to behold.

One housemate that has seen through Kris and nominated him this week is Siavash, who has now fallen to [7.6] to win. The likeable Iranian is now second only to Freddie in the Digital Spy polls and I feel that he is a genuine contender for victory.

I'm less sure of Rodrigo at [6.4], who is keeping his head down and getting on with everyone, but not providing much in the way of entertainment for the viewer. Charlie is also too short at [8.8], though it would be interesting to see him evolve should his idiot savant svengali, Kris be evicted.

A male winner of the show seems a certainty at [1.24], with a female winner at [4.5]. Noirin leads the girls' challenge at [14.5] and might benefit from Sree's eviction, as up until he started stalking her, she was proving quite popular.

Karly has now drifted out to [22.0], while Lisa at [55.0] is a cert for eviction, the minute the general public get the chance to get rid of her. Sophie at [30.0] only stands a chance if the deeply unpopular Kris breaks her heart and makes everyone feel sorry for her.

I leave you with my favourite quote from Sree, a housemate whose antics I have enjoyed, even if you would want to kill him in real life.

"Halfwit went to a good university... Oxford University... Not one of these silly universities. I too go to a good university... University of Hertfordshire."

I wish Sree all the best for when he gets back to Hatfield Polytechnic.
