Will Lisa Be Cashing Her Giro On Friday?
Hira can be backed at 5.1 to be evicted and return to her husband, who given her lack of personality, may not have even realised that she’s left home.
It's the most competitive eviction vote yet, as all the housemates are up for the chop. Dan 'The Betting Man' Fitch hopes that Lisa will go, but wonders who will vote to save Hira?
You've got to love Siavash. Having had his heart broken when he was dropped like a stone by Noirin, for her old boyfriend Isaac, Siavash decided that he didn't want to play Big Brother's game any more.
This meant that Siavash refused to make any nominations this week and with Marcus also being guilty of babbling about how he wanted to be nominated, Big Brother had the perfect excuse to put everyone up for eviction.
Very cleverly, the producers have decided to make it a positive vote, meaning that the audience are voting to save their favourite housemate, rather than get rid of whomever they most hate.
Had they gone for the latter option, Lisa would have been an absolute cert to leave. She's still the favourite to go, but at [2.8] is by no means a sure thing, in an intriguing market.
Who one earth for example, is going to feel strongly enough to pick up a phone and vote for Hira? She can be backed at [5.1] to be evicted and return to her husband, who given Hira's lack of personality, may not have even realised that she's left home.
Sandwiched in-between Hira and Lisa in the betting is David at [3.4], who no one could accuse of suffering from a lack of personality. Unfortunately for David, his personality is a bizarre mix of characteristics, taken in equal parts from H from Steps and Stan Ogden.
Personally, I find him hilarious and have spent much of the week imitating his camp, idiot-savant comments. His conversation with Freddie this week, in which he gave an insight into his love for car boot sales, was one of the funniest moments of banality that I've ever heard.
David is not popular with Bea though, who had a big row with him over butter consumption and then reduced the big ape to tears, by accusing him of being a bully. When not slagging off other housemates, Bea has spent much of this week moaning about how thick David is.
I know who I'd want in my team in a pub quiz though. Shockingly, the well-educated and articulate Bea, this week announced to Rodrigo that the Queen's husband was dead, explaining in an inappropriately patronising tone, that 'this is why we don't have a king'.
At the risk of sounding like an old man, I'm constantly amazed at how little general knowledge the youth of today have. Although ironically, the reason may well be that they've spent far too much of their lives watching other idiots on Big Brother, rather than the news.
Quite who Bea thinks this Prince Phillip bloke is then, is anyone's guess. The Queen's brother? Well, it's quite possible given the amount of inter-breeding that the upper classes do.
Breeding, is one subject that upper class Freddie would like to make Bea less ignorant about. Bea has spurned these advances, which is quite a cheek considering that she was only put in the house to get it on with Freddie.
Bea is [7.2] to go, after a week of constant sniping at her fellow housemates, that has made her most unpopular. Even her treatment of Noirin, a woman who definitely deserved a slagging off, seemed a bit harsh.
Freddie's pursuit of her is doing him no good at all and his price to win the show has risen to [4.6]. This is a decent price now, as he undoubtedly still has a lot of support and certainly offers far more value than second favourite Charlie at [5.2].
The Geordie has been a reduced figure in the show ever since Kris, the King of Mint Banter, left the house. When he does feature, he's normally arguing with Rodrigo or spreading gossip about people. I suppose he can sometimes be quite amusing in a Brian Dowling-lite kind of way, but I can't for the life of me understand why his price is so short.
Siavash and Sophie are both priced at [5.8], with Rodrigo at [7.2]. I'd say that only Freddie, Sophie or Siavash can win the show.
I would of course have liked it if Marcus were in the mix, but it doesn't seem as if the general public have warmed to the Irrepressible Dark Horse, quite as much as I have.
My favourite I.D.H. moment of the week came when Marcus speculated on how many women have been imagining him, when having sex with their partners.
I wouldn't think there's been many, although the wife did suggest I grow my sideburns the other day...
