Bryan to scare the life out of Fiji?
Betting experts Chicken Dinner consider what scoreline amounts to Tonga maintaining their dignity
Here's a riddle for Australia - how do they beat a team that isn't there? Fiji have absolutely nothing to gain from playing Australia. All their attention - all 100 per cent of it - is elsewhere, on the last game of the pool stage against Wales. That is the moment when their future in the competition will be determined, so the game against Australia, a team which they haven't beaten since 1954, is of no greater consequence than a sightseeing trip or a siesta. If the rules permitted they would send out 15 chairs. Whoever they send out, the official recorders of World Cup thrashings may be welcoming a new scoreline into their club by Sunday evening.
Australia would have the points, the memories and the rubber stamp of officialdom, but if Fiji don't actually bother to stop them, will Australia feel like they've won? The answer is almost certainly yes, especially if New Zealand's record World Cup score of 145 ever comes in sight. Fiji may be more concerned about keeping their boots clean.
It would be one of the shocks of the tournament if this game didn't end with a monster scoreline, even if the Wallabies rest some of their first team. If Australia are going to start breaking records though, where do they need to be at half time, compared to some of the other gigantic World Cup results?

New Zealand fielded a number of back up players.
Australia 142 Namibia 0 (Adelaide, 2003. Half time 69-0)
If Fiji think they might get off easier because Australia will rest players, think again. This disturbing result was also logged by largely second string players. Australia passed the 3-figure mark after 52 minutes, and according to the BBC "the backs...often ignored support, opting to
