I was born in Christchurch, New Zealand in 1980, from where I grew up in a typical suburban Kiwi family. Once I’d completed School and University, I relocated to the London, where I’ve been for 4 ½ years .

With my father being a massive race enthusiast, I was never far from a TAB (NZ equivalent of a bookie) growing up, and the legalisation of sports betting coincided with my 18th birthday so I was quickly into punting. My first bet was on the Crusaders rugby team to win the 1998 Super 14, from which I collected a nice little payday. My favourite sports are Rugby, Cricket and Golf (also my hobbies) and my favourite sportsperson would have to be Canterbury and All Black legend Andrew Mehrtens.

My golden rules for betting are not to be patient and not to panic (especially in-running), and don’t bet on things you know nothing about.
