Bob Adams (aka 'Bob the Dog')

Bob has had a lifelong passion for horse racing and can recall winning 30 shillings as a lad when Kilmore landed the 1962 Grand National. He jokes that this was the last winner he backed!

Bob has an NCTJ qualification in journalism and an HNC in broadcasting. He worked through the 80's as a sports journalist for many national and regional titles and in 1989 became Sports Editor at Broadsystem telephone services. Bob was instrumental in setting up the Racephone product of both horse racing and greyhound commentaries. The nickname Bob the Dog was coined here when Bob became the Sporting life's telephonic greyhound tipster.

Bob went freelance in 1992 and carved out a succesful career as a journalist and broadcaster covering many diverse sports across the UK and Europe.

Bob has also worked in interactive TV and was closely involved in the succesful launch of 24dogs.com, an innovative greyhound website featuring live streaming of commentaries onto the web.

latterly Bob has been a regular racing presenter/pundit for Racecall as well as fulfilling a similar role for Betfair Radio.

Bob is married with two children and lives in a little villlage near Brighton.
