Ingo Pauling

Ingo's style on the radio is unusual, as he likes to tease presenters, producers, listeners, England, Germany and most of all himself.

Ingo joined Betfair in July 2005, moving from Germany to England for this job. It's a dream come true for Ingo as he's wanted to live in England ever since he had a football youth exchange with Wakefield's Trinitarians when he was a very young lad.

Ingo currently leads an International CS team, and considers himself lucky, as, even though he is based in lovely Stevenage, his job brings him to Malta, Berlin and Hamburg on a frequent basis.

He's followed horseracing since he was a teenager and trips to France, Austria and Germany helped him raise his profile and knowledge.

Ingo measures races/form mainly based on what he sees, rather than statistics and/or breeding. His favourite race courses are Kempton (AW), Wolverhampton (AW) and Southwell (AW).

As well as racing Ingo also talks about German football on Betfair Radio, in particular the team he loves, FC SCHALKE 04.

We need to be more ruthless and clinical, says Lawrence Dallaglio

Former England skipper and World Cup winner Lawrence Dallaglio talks exclusively to Betfair Radio about England's vital Six Nations clash against France tonight

After a stuttering start to their RBS Six Nations campaign, England are in Paris this evening to take on reigning champions France. Last year Lawrence Dallaglio was a member of the side that secured a famous win over the hosts in the Stade de France at the Semi Final stage of the World Cup. But after an opening defeat to Wales and a poor performance against Italy, the Wasps forward told Betfair Radio's Market Watch programme that underdogs England must be competitive for a full 80 minutes if they are to achieve a repeat result...

Former Chelsea and Republic of Ireland international Tony Cascarino talks exclusively to Betfair radio about the Carling Cup Final...

This Sunday afternoon at Wembley the first domestic silverware of the season in England will be claimed by either Chelsea or Tottenham. The two London rivals meet at 3 o'clock with the holders Chelsea looking to extend Spurs' run of 9 years without a trophy. For managers Avram Grant and Juande Ramos there is the added incentive of winning a cup in their first season in charge. On Betfair Radio's Friday Night Market Watch programme, former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino told Dave Farrar whether he thought North or South West London would be toasting a historic victory come Sunday night..

After several years of working in the City, latterly with Baring Securities, I lived in Vietnam for three years.

Returning to the UK in 2000, I took a serious career change and headed into the world of horseracing. I worked for 5 years as Assistant Trainer to Paul Webber, and then wrote for The Sportsman Newspaper through 2006 both as features writer and Lambourn correspondent.

Following the demise of the paper, I returned to Paul Webber for the '06/'07 National Hunt season. I have spent much of 2007 working towards gaining my Racehorse Trainer's licence, which I was granted at the end of November. I have been given a dual purpose licence, and will start with a team of 20 horses.
