The World Series of Poker Europe goes from strength to strength with the announcement that the two week series will not only include a new live event but sees the inclusion of a million dollar online freeroll during its time at the Empire Casino in London between September 17th to October 1st, 2009.
The 2009 World Series of Poker Europe sponsored, of course, by Betfair Poker will feature four bracelet tournaments, including a new addition - the £ 2,500 Pot Limit Hold'em/Pot Limit Omaha mixed event which replaces the H.O.R.S.E. won last year by Sherkhan Farnood.
Action kicks off on September 17 with the inaugural Million Dollar Game which will see 18 players who have qualified for free on Betfair having played their way through regional qualifiers running from April through to August.
As well as exclusive online qualification through Betfair Poker, players can also attempt to qualify through the multitude of satellites taking place at The Empire - a casino where you don't even have to be a member to play.
The series kicks off with the popular £1000 buy-in tournament - £500 cheaper than last year - followed by the new mixed event and the PLO tournament in which Betfair pro Sorel Mizzi was one river card away from his first WSOP bracelet.
The Main Event kicks off on Saturday September 26 with all the leading names in both live and online poker expected to attend.
