Day 2A starts with the remaining players that survived Days 1A and 1B, 1,252 in total. Here are the days big hands.
Brandon Adams started the day second in chips with around 175,000. He continued his aggressive approach right out of the gates on day two. In one hand he faced off against 2008 Player Of The Year Erick Lindgren. A player from middle position raised to 2,100 and Lindgren quickly made the call along with another player. Adams, in the BB, grabbed a tower of orange 5k chips and pushed them into the middle. The original raiser folded and Lindgren had to make a decision for his tournament life after the raise came to over 100k, with Lindgren only having 120k left in front of him. After thinking about it for a while he eventually folded and looked disgusted when Adams got called by the remaining player (who only had 16k) and showed down Ad 9c. Adams lost the small pot but sent the table a clear message that he is not messing around.
Last years fourth place finisher Alex Kravchenko took a big hit when on a board of Ad Qd Jh 10h he just called a bet with AK. The river was the 6h and his opponent moved all his chips into the middle. Kravchenko finally called and saw the bad news, his opponent held Kh Jh and had rivererd a flush. He lost about half his stack in this hand.
Barry Greenstein could not get anything going today. After a 3,500 raise from a player in late position Greenstein moved all his chips into the middle of the table. His opponent made the call and showed down Ac Ks, crushing Greensteins As Js. The flop was all red, negating any chance of Greenstein making a flush, the turn was an Ace which didn't change things and Barry could not catch a Jack on the river and was out. He signed a copy of his book 'Ace On The River' and gave it to his opponent as he does when he's knocked out of each large tournament.
