With today being the last of day one, we look at some of the biggest hands.

Defending champion Jerry Yang had a turbulent first day and was low on chips early on, before putting his tournament life at risk. Yang completed the small blind after 5 other limpers and the flop came 9d 5d 2d. Yang and two others checked before a player made a bet. Yang announced call before the button was able to act who decided to still raise. All eyes then moved back to Yang who thought before standing up, kissing a picture of his children and moving all in. The button made the call, showing 4d 3d for the flopped flush and OESFD but was in bad shape against Yang's 10d 7d higher flush. The button could not catch a miracle straight flush and Yang doubled up.

Chris 'Jesus' Ferguson was sent to the rail when on a board of Ad Qd 7d 3s he bet and was called by one player. The river was the 6s and Chris moved all in, getting called instantly. Chris showed 7s 7c for a set but was no match for his opponents Kd 6d.

Gus Hansen tangled with online player Brandon Cantu who raised the button with Hansen calling from the small blind. The flop came Ac 3d 2d and it was checked to Cantu who bet out with Hansen calling. Turn was the Qd and both player checked before the river bought the 5h. Hansen bet and Cantu instantly called with Hansen showing a tricky Ah Kc. Cantu looked disgusted as he folded.

Layne Flack was eliminated from the tournament when he raised from early position and got one caller. On a flop of Js 9h 8h Flack checked raised all in and getting quickly called. Flack showed Kh Jh for top pair and a flush draw but trailed his opponents Qd 10d for a flopped straight. Flack could not improve and left the tournament early.
