The excellent Simon Zammit continues his Las Vegas WSOP blog reaching London but not before an unfortunate incident with his dog, a run-in with a women's rugby team and some engine trouble.

After finishing the Blog Intro and actually seeing it live on Betting.Betfair last night, I got so excited about this voyage of sorts that I couldn't get any sleep. Of course, the day had to start with me ending up shouting at 8am this morning...

I left the empty suitcase on the floor just for a few moments and surprise, surprise - when I return from the kitchen with the routine coffee I find the dog actually taking a wee inside it! I mean come on!! WTF?!

Anyways, I didn't feel like risking my clothes smelling like whizz so I ran to the shops and parted with 100 Euros for a new suitcase - thanks dog; nice "going away" present - love you too!

Later on, I arrive at the Malta International Airport and find about fifty girls wearing rugby kit queuing for the same flight - have to admit, a select few got me picturing them holding balls.. Forty minutes later I checked my new, whizz-free suitcase and headed towards the Departures area but not before security threw away my hair gel, toothpaste and shampoo in the bin for being over 100ml.

Whilst waiting for the electronic sign to say "Now boarding Air Malta flight KM102 to Heathrow" I bump into a colleague of mine heading to Bulgaria for a stag weekend. He was unhappy as his flight was delayed by 4 hours and before I could stop laughing, the announcer says my flight has also been delayed :-(

Thankfully it was just a small one and before you know it I was enjoying a can of Cisk (beer of champions) and eating a portion of Air Malta's version of chicken-curry rice which actually tasted good.

A few minutes before landing smoke started to come out of the side of the entire plane and nobody was amused. National Geographic's "Air Crash Investigation" show came to mind but the flight attendant told everyone that it was only condensation - phew!

As soon as we landed I bumped into my boss whom I conversed with the entire trip on the Tube so the ride was fun. After stopping at Hammersmith Station I finally made my way to the Hotel and checked into my room. It's now 22:30 local time so I best go and get some food since the UK comes to a halt at 01:00 !!

Tomorrow sees me waking up before 06:00 in order to have breakfast and make it to Gatwick airport in time for my late morning flight to Sin City! Till then - gnite and thanks for reading!!
