Event 50 - $10,000 PLO Championship - Early Eliminations

With day one coming to a close, there are less than 90 players remaining from the 381 that started event 50. Here are some of the big names that hit the rail.

Barry Greenstein entered the tournament with prior obligations. Within a few hours, whatever his chip stack he would have to leave to play the final table for the $50k HORSE event. Barry would have a tough decision if he was able to accumulate lots of chips in this tournament, but unfortunately holding KKxx and making a full house on a board of KQ10Qx he would lose to quads Queens, giving him an easy choice.

Daniel Negreanu was eliminated early when he was all in with a massive amount of outs. He had a flush draw and a wrap (multiple straight draws) but was unable to hit a card and was busted by his opponents two pair. David Benyamine, considered the best PLO player in the world was eliminated with a similar hand. Holding the nut flush draw, a straight drawn and an overcard Benyamine could not make a hand and went to the rail early. Erik Seidel was eliminated when his opponent moved all in before the flop and Seidel called. His opponent made a straight to take Seidel out.

Other big names eliminated include: Freddy Deeb, Chris Ferguson, Max Pescatori, Phil Hellmuth, Any Bloch and Tom Dwan. Here are the chip leaders at this time.
