If previous events this year were anything to go by then the $50,000 HORSE final table was sure to be spectacular, which it was. With 2 world champions, 16 gold bracelets and a WSOP circuit ring between them, ever player was ready to add to their collection.

Next out was Big Game regular Lyle Berman. Playing Razz, Berman moved all-in on third street and was helpless as his board failed to improve while Scotty Nguyen and Michael DeMichele did battle on each street. Eventually DeMichele made 75-Low which was good enough to win the while pot and eliminate Berman in 5th place, winning $444,000. WSOP Circuit winner Matthew Glantz was soon eliminated by Scotty Nguyen in 4th place for a $568,320 payday.

Erick Lindgren, the tournaments dominant force for the last two days was eliminated in 3rd place after falling desperately short in chips during his final Hold'em round. Playing Stud and facing Scotty Nguyen, Lindgren was all in on 6th street with a board of As 8h 8c 7h Ks 4s for a pair of 8's, but Nguyen held a pair of 9's, Lindgren could not improve and failed to win his second bracelet this year. He won $781,440 for this 3rd place finish.

By the time heads up play began, Nguyen had a significant chip lead. During a final hand for Hold'em, Michael DeMichele was all in preflop with Ac 3h against Nguyen's Ad 10h. Nguyen's hand held up and he won his 5th bracelet and $1,989,120 for this victory. DeMichele won $1,243,200 for his second place finish.
