The HORSE events have long been a favorite for the pros who declare it as the biggest show of skill being able to play more than one poker game.

HORSE is an acronym for the 5 games played 10 hands at a time. These are (all games are Limit):

H: Hold'em
O: Omaha Eight or Better
R: Razz
S: Stud Hi
E: Stud Eight or Better

Leading up to the $50k HORSE World Championship, the $3000 event has some big names looking to take the title.

Chip leader before the final 2 tables is Marcel Luske, the flamboyant Dutch pro looking to win his first bracelet. He has had 17 career cashes at the WSOP including a second place at the 2004 $5k Stud Hi event. He also finished 14th at the Main Event in 2003 and 10th in 2004, an amazing accomplishment. He is also looking to reverse his fortune from being the first person ever eliminated from an WSOPE event which ironically was the £2,500 HORSE.

Current third place is Jennifer Harman, considered the best female player in the world. Jennifer has two WSOP bracelets and has had 21 WSOP career cashes. She is the only female player to regularly play in the legendary Bellagio 'Big Game', a high stakes mixed game, so has lots of experience playing the HORSE games against the best in the world. Jennifer was knocked out the first WSOPE main event by Betfair's Annette Obrestad.
