Former professional chess player, Ylon Schwartz was eliminated from the final table in fourth spot after a bluff against a man in form, Peter Eastgate, went terribly wrong.
Eastgate opened the action to 1,500,000, a common occurrence since the play became short-handed and Schwartz made the call. Both players quickly check the flop of Kh 8h 2s but when a second king falls on the turn, this time the Kind of diamonds, Eastgate bets out 1,750,000 and once more, Schwartz calls.
Schwartz checks the 5d on the river, Eastgate bets 4,600,000, and after a short think, Schwartz moves all-in, obviously putting Eastgate on a bluff himself. Unfortunately, Eastgate held a pair of fives and had rivered a full house that was way in front of Schwartz's Ah Tc
Fourth place is worth $3,774,974 of "cheese" for Schwartz, by far the largest cash of his career.
