If you are a fan of high-stakes poker and also like documentaries then G4TV.com has just the show for you. Airing for the first time on Sunday 16 August at 2100 Eastern Time, the show "Two Months Two Million" promises to give an insight into the world of high-stakes online action.
Four of the top online poker players pooled all their money together and decided to live together for two months with one common goal, to finish with $2,000,000 in profit. The four young internet stars are well respected in the poker community and getting a glimpse of how they go about their daily business is an exciting prospect.
Dani 'Ansky' Stern, who at just 22 years of age, is the youngest of the group. Stern has been playing poker for around five years and says he gets his ultra-competitive streak from his sporting background. He plays some of the highest stakes around and has won and lost over $100,000 in a single day! Stern recently finished 4th in the $40,000 Anniversary Event in Las Vegas for a cool $548,315.
Jay 'Krantz' Rosenkrantz hails from New York City and is the most experienced player of the four, having played poker in some shape or form for 13 years. After graduating from university with a major in Screenwriting in 2006, Krantz made the decision to become a poker pro. A highly intelligent player who part owns the training site Deuces Cracked.
Brian 'Flawless_Victory' Roberts is 26 years old and the only player of the group not to come from New York. Born in Texas, Roberts has been a pro for six years admitting he became hooked on the game after his first "big" win of his career, $100. Despite not having a mathematical background, Roberts proved he is a quick learner as he relied on poker for his sole source of income just three months after learning the rules of Texas Hold'em.
The last of the four players is the highly ambitious Emil 'Whitelime' Patel a maths genius who one day wants to own his own baseball team. He first learned the game playing a home game with friends during his Sophomore year and has been a winning player since. When his mother found out about how much he was winning online, she pleaded with him to teach his father also! Although Patel is a long-term winning player, he has suffered huge swings in his bankroll and has bad memories of going on a $1,000,000 downswing during his career.
As a poker fan I have been waiting for this production to hit my screen since I first heard rumours of its filming. A mixture of partying, fast cars and high-stakes poker, what more could you want from a show? Make sure you tune in and let me know what you think of Two Month Two Million
