Poker star Negreanu robbed at EPT Barcelona

Caesars Cup captain Daniel Negreanu was pickpocketed moments before taking his seat at the EPT Barcelona by robbers posing as fans on Saturday afternoon.
The 35-year-old was posing for pictures with fans when the incident took place outside the casino in Barcelona. The Canadian was relieved of his wallet in the robbery which included credit cards, licences, some personal items and cash.
"It's not the money I'm so worried about." he said. "It's more annoying than anything."
Negreanu didn't let the incident put him off his game, however, with the popular Pro sitting in fourth place at the time of writing with 41,000 chips.
At the same tournememt Betfair Pro Peter Jepsen is making light of being left with only 7,000 chips from a 30,000 starting stack.
"I'm pretending it's the old structure," he joked. "So, I'm only 3,000 chips down."
Diego Arias led the tournament after Day1a with Friedrich Franz and Carlos Lopez in second and third place.
Notable eliminations on Day1a included Jesper Hougaard, Johnny Lodden and last year's winner Sebastian Ruthenberg.
