Annette Obrestad will return from Las Vegas $50,000 richer and that's despite being too young to play poker in any of the world famous casinos on Las Vegas's seedy strip.
The Betfair pro landed first prize in a major online tournament on Sunday July 13 in a $100,000 GTD competition on a major US-based site. Annette was forced to play in the Mulligans Tournament and bypass her regular apperance in Betfair's own $125,000 GTD because it is not possible to access the Betfair Poker Software from the US.
However, the unfamiliar surrounding didn't stop the Norwegian from once again proving she is arguably the best online MTT players the world has ever seen, eventually taking down the tournament to win the first prize of $51,660.
Playing her usual aggressive style, she came back from less than 10BB to win the tournament from nickdawgg, with third place going to FM2T.
Her win begs the question of just how well she would have fared at the WSOP this year had she not been denied entry by the arcane US gamblings laws?
