AS noted on the Betfair Poker Forums, it is the end of the year, the season when organs and journalists fill time and space with an awards do.

HYPE says "must be that time of year (now sports pers. is won) that we have our forum awards. What categories can we have this year?"

It is a valid question. And one Hype is keen to answer: "I'll start the ball rolling with 'Best live performance' - nominees Dests, Deejay, Snap..."

M offers: "Best live performance by a sponsored pro, Annette winning the wsope, or Buzzer winning the horse?"

PrettyAce decides: "'Best live performance by a sponsored pro - Buzzer. Horse is an all around discipline and he must receive kudos for winning that"

The Dark Lord counters: "...and comparing Buzzer beating a very small and very weak field in the HORSE to Annette winning is also utterly ridiculous...The HORSE field was incredibly weak. Just because you have seen someone on your TV PrettyAce doesnt mean they are good at poker."
