I am down to my last few weeks in this challenge of turning $1,000 into the targeted goal of $100,000.
I don't quite understand why more people don't play on Betfair when the tournaments are quite soft and with overlays - you would think it would make a good combination to make people play. Well, I guess people prefer to play harder sites with less value. Smart!
Anyway, I had a rollercoaster of a week when on Monday I decided to play like an orangutan on acid, ignore my stop loss rules and proceed to drop around $10k playing 2-5nl mostly! I did run horrendously bad, however that is no excuse what so ever. To complete such a challenge in a short amount of time I cannot afford to make bankroll management mistakes. I have been playing so much lately that I guess I just snapped. Anyway, I managed to recover nicely and am once again back on track.
The bankroll currently stands at $36,292 including last months rakeback.
Now the plan is to play 2.5-5 as stable bread and butter growth with table selections of 5-10 and 10-20nl. The future is looking good, could Annette indirectly run bad as I complete this challenge and for her to lose something for once? I doubt it.
On Sunday, Betfair hosted another amazing value tournament, $100,000 guaranteed with a nice overlay but unfortunately I was unable to final table it for the 3rd week in a row when I boringly ran my KK into AA.
Congrats to Annette on winning the $100k gtd on Sunday on a different site and huge CONGRATULATIONS to Sorel on winning the $3k Bellagio warm-up event last week.
Time for me to win something, hopefully the Aussie Millions.
Good luck all.
