I've put my chicken chorizo and sweet potato in the oven so I have about 15 minutes left before that is ready so I better get typing because I am not missing it for the world, plus I am heading out for the night so time is scarce right now.

I'm going out for a girlfriends', friends' boyfriend's birthday dinner or something so I have to go to keep her company as sort of a date but I don't know anybody there and the guy who is throwing the party is 52 I think so everyone is going to be around that age I guess so that's going to be great! And everyone is going to want to know "what do you mean you're a poker player?!" I'll be going, "I actually made money today" and they'll ask "but how much did you lose!" that sort of thing, so I will probably just tell them I'm in web hosting!

So January is well and truly finished and I played 110,000 hands and I've really enjoyed playing, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. The reason for my love of weekend poker isn't because of an abundance of fish at the table, though it is a little more fishy that usual but not too crazy, but the thing there are actually a few games of $3/$6 and $5/$10 running which isn't always the case during the week at all so you have to take what you can.

Punish The Regs!

To be honest I don't care about the fish because I am happy playing against the regs because I think I've got an edge against most of them but they only play when there's fish so I have to play when there's fish because that's when they play. I won a bunch of buy-ins from one of the regs at $5/$10 so my quest to punish them is in full swing!

I'll probably be playing Betfair Poker LIVE London which looks like it could be a lot of fun. I found the thread on the Betfair forums a thread about people playing backgammon and chess against me at Betfair LIVE. I'm genuinely excited about this tournament because usually when you get knocked out you either have to just hang around or go home but now we'll be playing chess and backgammon (I'm not actually that good at backgammon though!) but it will still be fun. It's been a while since I played chess but I would be still upset if I lost because I was relatively good at it about 10-15 years ago.

A Well Deserved Break

The next live tournament after that will probably be the Dominican Republic for the Grand Final of the GSOP in April but before that, in March probably, I'm considering taking a couple of weeks off and having a proper holiday in Argentina with a friend from Uni but that depends if he can get time off work because he is the world's busiest man and he never replies to me!

Wow, the smell from my oven is amazing! I've just taken it out so I now have around five minutes for the juices to settle then I am going to eat it! It smells so good! Actually forget that, it smells too nice so I am going to eat it right now but before I go do not forget to tune into my weekly radio show on a Wednesday night from 1900 UK time. I really enjoy doing it, it's great fun and I want my listeners so tell all of your friends!
