Sam has been playing poker for over 40 years. He started playing 3-card brag for pennies in the Club House in North Berwick at the 1966 Scottish Boys’ Match Play and almost always lost. By the time he was playing on the European Tour he has moved onto 7-card stud and was one of the better players amongst the golfing elite. The online phenomenon did not pass Sam by – he has already been playing online for 5 years – which is how he came across No Limit Texas Hold’em. He is now taking his poker very seriously and playing on Betfair. His aim is only to become a consistently profitable poker player.
